What Is a Thigh and Hip Lift?

Sagging skin on the inner thigh, outer thigh, and hip area resulting from massive weight loss (especially after bariatric surgery) or aging cannot be eliminated by liposuction or exercise. This procedure, which combines a thigh lift and gluteal lift, surgically removes both excess skin and sagging tissue.

Methods

Medial Thigh Lift (Inner Thigh Lift)

Sagging skin on the inner thigh is removed through an incision concealed in the groin area. It eliminates excess skin that causes discomfort during walking.

Lateral Thigh Lift (Outer Thigh Lift)

Sagging in the hip and outer thigh area is corrected with an incision at the upper hip.

Gluteal Lift (Buttock Lift)

Sagging buttock skin is lifted upward to achieve a firmer and rounder buttock profile.

Combined Lower Body Lift

The abdomen, flanks, hips, and leg areas are all contoured in a single session or through staged procedures.

Procedure Steps

1. Comprehensive Assessment

Sagging zones, skin quality, and overall health are evaluated; a single-stage or multi-stage plan is prepared.

2. Anesthesia

General anesthesia is administered. Combined procedures may take 3–5 hours.

3. Skin and Tissue Removal

Excess skin and fat are surgically removed from the identified areas; muscles are tightened if needed.

4. Closure

Incisions are closed in layers; drains and compression are applied.
