Chin Surgery Methods

Osteotomy (Bone Cutting)

The chin bone is cut and repositioned, then secured. It is used for augmentation, reduction, and asymmetry correction.

Fat Injection / Filler

Procedure Steps

1. Analysis and Planning

2. Anesthesia

3. Implant Placement

Through a 2-3 cm incision made from inside the mouth or under the chin, the implant is placed beneath the periosteum and secured.

4. Closure

Absorbable sutures are used for intraoral stitches; no external scar remains.

• Blood thinning medications should be discontinued 10 days before
• Smoking should be stopped 3 weeks before
• Dental hygiene is important; oral health should be evaluated before surgery

After

• Diet should consist of liquids and soft foods for the first week
• Extra attention should be paid to oral hygiene
• Avoid impacts to or pressure on the chin
• Intense exercise should not be performed for 2 weeks
