Dr. Hamid AYDIN

Dr. Hamid Aydin completed high school in 1987 and medical school in 1993. After his compulsory public service, he practised medicine in Kuşadası and Istanbul. He is currently the Chief Physician of Estetistanbul Medical Center.

Having devoted more than 25 years of his career to hair health, hair transplantation and the treatment of hair loss, Dr. Hamid Aydin has carried out pioneering work on establishing and improving clinical standards in these fields.

Setting Standards for Hair Transplantation

In 2004, Dr. Hamid Aydin defined the first comprehensive standards for the hair transplant sector in Turkey, paving the way for the organisations founded in this field after him.

In this context, he worked on fundamental topics such as the qualifications of physicians performing hair transplants, the duties and competencies of allied health staff, the physical and technical requirements of hair transplant centres, operating protocols and prescription standards.

He contributed to setting clear standards for patient safety, physician responsibility, sterilisation, anaesthesia, graft preservation and the division of tasks during surgery.

Contributions to Hair Loss Treatment

Alongside hair transplantation, Dr. Hamid Aydin has also worked on the medical treatment of hair loss.

He pioneered the introduction of defined protocols and standards for injection-based treatments used for hair loss.

Based on the principle that hair loss differs from person to person, he developed personalised magistral (compounded) prescriptions tailored to each patient’s age, sex, type of hair loss and individual needs.

Training and Professional Organisation

Dr. Hamid Aydin has helped train many physicians and allied health professionals in hair transplantation, hair loss treatment and personalised magistral prescriptions.

He served as president of SAÇDER (Hair Transplant Association) and as chair of the TÜRSAB Health Tourism Committee, working towards the professional organisation of the hair transplant sector, the development of its standards and the growth of health tourism in Turkey.

Today

Dr. Hamid Aydin continues to serve as Chief Physician of Estetistanbul Medical Center and carries on his work in hair transplantation, hair loss treatment and personalised magistral prescriptions.

He is married and the father of a daughter.
